Q & A

1. So why am I a design major?

I've decided to study design because I have always been involved in designing various things for school and church groups. Whether it be literary magazines, posters, drawings, paintings... I always enjoy creating something new and interesting.

2. Who's my favorite designer?

It's hard to say exactly which designer is my favorite...choices, choices... However, one designer I like is Micheal Parent. Most people commonly know him as the guy who created the new Starbucks logo. I like that he took the old logo (which is somewhat odd and unpleasant, just go look for yourself) and turned it into something that people were attracted to and still recognized.

3. If I could design the CD cover for any band, who would I choose?

I've thought about this question numerous times, as do most designers who love music. If I had to choose, I would choose Nickelcreek. Nickelcreek's music is a mixture of bluegrass, folk rock, and country. With so much variety, it would be interesting and difficult to try and incorporate all into one design, but I've always loved a challenge.
